Healing Through Organic Movement

To move freely without concentrated effort is a form of getting in tune with your inner self. Breathing, swaying, rotating, bending, pulsating…listening. During the healing process, movement, in my opinion, is a form of mediation. Silencing your mind, quieting your voice and just allowing organic feelings to create movement is a beautiful experience. You are not judging yourself, criticizing your movement instead you are connecting yourself to your deeper internal self without external judgement. This is not a forced body energetic transaction, not a need to move in a certain way by thinking. It’s a way to ask yourself what you need in the moment, to let whatever feelings surface to pass through your body organically. In the beginning this may feel awkward to you as you may have never been deeply connected with your internal self. The best part is you don’t have to feel awkward, it's just you, why would that feel awkward? Well, just like going to any sort of unknown function there’s usually some sort of resistance. It’s a normal energetic feeling but you move through those feelings in some way to still attend the function. You coach yourself from the time you accepted the invitation, begin getting yourself ready, to the time you step foot through the door. Once you step foot through the entrance somehow you magically feel safe and question what you were so intense about then suddenly you’re happy you chose to attend. The best part about this free movement is there is no high maintenance attached. The only effort you need is to listen to your inner self, carve out some time to go within, find a space or create a space of your own away from other distractions and move. Sometimes you need that, and you are encouraged to move through that entrance. Let yourself feel all the emotions and move your body through them. Maybe you just stand or sit there with your eyes closed and you breathe. That is where the energetic movement starts, that is where your meditative state begins. Pay attention to your intuition, then you allow yourself to stretch in any way your body is calling you to do so. It most likely means you have tension stored somewhere in your body that needs attention in order for it to be relieved. Move without limitations but move in comfort. Give your inner self, body and mind some love by moving differently without judgement, fear or resistance to the idea. This is your invitation to move without concentrated effort, trust the experience, you may be surprised at how free you feel after your self session comes to a closure. Movement is not something you have to study, it’s a quiet calling that comes from within. It’s another opportunity to learn about yourself. You might just pick up a new healthy addiction your inner self wants, needs and loves.
